Name that Zune

Lots of speculation about the Zune and if it's the final name for Microsoft's PMP. Engadget even came up with a logo somehow.

What sounds great to me is player to player media transfers through wi-fi. Simple, pain-free, sharing of media is something that everyone would love to have on their PMP. Bump into another friend watching the latest Lost episode on their Zune, have em transfer it over to wirelessly. It's going to make file transfers pretty ubiquitous pretty quick. Imagine carrying around a 100GB disk with great battery life and wifi that can play videos and mp3s. *drools*

Before I wrap this up, I want to ask a question. Hasn't most of the industry settled on PMP for the iPod's acronym of choice? The reason I ask is because I just came across a new (to me) acronym, the DAP. I personally dig the Portable Media Player acronym even it's not easy to pronouce. I'm just not quite sure what DAP is supposed to stand for. Digital Audio Player? I suppose it's only supposed to cover music playing devices. I think that PMP is broad enough to cover a wide range of devices without being too confusing.
