- Size - The 5" screen, 450 gram model 02 is only 1" thick. While pundits say it's still too big to go in your pocket, the OQO model 02 is smaller than the Monster Burger you ate for lunch. Add the docking station and you've still got a package that smaller and weighs less than a supersize meal (yes, that 44oz coke weighs a ton).
- Sex Appeal - I'm not the first person to say it, but the OQO model 02 is undeniably sexy. Dressed in black, bright screen, backlit keyboard, and unlike that Monster Burger, the model 02 will make you attractive to the ladies.
- Connectivity - The EVDO means you can get online anywhere there is a 3G signal and the recently announced HSDPA is great news in the WWAN camp. The model 02 also sports wifi and bluetooth for local network access and wireless peripheral action. If a smartphone were a stick of doublemint gum, the OQO model 02 would be the deadly, three-course stick of gum that sent Violet Beauregarde off to the juicers.
- Battery Life - With the standard battery, the model 02 gets up to 3 hours of running time, while the extended battery will bring you up to 6 hours. That's pretty typical talk time for a cellphone or smartphone, but running full blown Windows (XP or Vista) you're getting a ton of productivity out of this little device. Look at it this way:
- Standard cell phone: 64oz cup of ice water
- Smartphone: 64oz cup of diet coke
- OQO model 02: 64oz root beer float
- Performance - The model 02 runs full-blown Windows and has a 1.5GHz VIA C7-M processor giving you the freedom to run any software that your desktop or notebook can run. Open a Powerpoint presentation, an Excel spreadsheet, watch videos on YouTube, whatever you want to do, the model 02 is capable and always a hand to perform. Unfortunately, I can't think of any food analogies for that one, I don't want my hamburgers on YouTube.

:)
Agreed. I got one a few weeks ago and this is the best pocket size computer in the world. The VIA processor concerned me at first, but with 1 GB RAM it works as quickly as my Thinkpad.

I'm really interested in this device. Can you give me some pointers such as where I can play with one for real, what's the kb like and is 1gb the max ram?

you can order it online at www.oqo.com the maximum amount of RAM you can order is 1GB. I'd suggest taking a look at all of the videos that are going up on the web if you want to see what the device is like without getting your hands on it in person.
You can check out our YouTube Channel for a bunch of OQO model 02 videos.

You forgot to mention #6 The price. At a whopper of a price tag(keeping the burger theme)of close to $1,500US and up, mobility has been redefined...as expensive, with sub par battery life and sub par performance.
