Apple iPhone

When I got into work this morning, I felt the urge to check out how many iPhone users have come to visit UML since the launch of the iPhone. At first I wasn't quite sure how to tell who was using an iPhone, but I found a site to tell me how to identify iPhone Visitors in Google Analytics. What you do is to look for visitors with a screen resolution of 320x396. I took at look at my traffic and found a mere 16 visits from an iPhone since launch. Somehow I was expecting more than that, hopefully we'll see this number pick up.

How about other UMPC bloggers, what kind of iPhone traffic are you getting? Are you seeing a lot of visitors using their iPhones to visit your site? I'm guessing the bigger UMPC sites like JKontheRun, GottaBeMobile and UMPCPortal have gotten a few hundred iPhone hits at least.

I've been tracking the iphone users for a month now. Its a tiny tiny percentage of readerhsip but its there. Say 150 visits since launch.

Regards
Steve.
