Ruvo UMPC

Ctitanic ran across this brochure for a new UMPC from Ruvo, a Malaysian company. This UMPC is similar to the Gigabyte U60 and features a 1.2 GHz VIA C7-M processor and the efficient VIA VX700 chipset. Currently, we don't know when they will be shipping the device, but we'll keep our eye out for it and let you know when it's available.

Hi. I have bought the Avox, Ruvo UMPC, just last week during the PC Fair that was held in PISA (Penang International Sports Arena), in Penang, Malaysia. Its specifications are as below:
- VIA (R) ULV C7-M, 1.2 Ghz processor
- 6.5 inch WVGA (800x480) TFT LCD
- Genuine Microsoft (R) Windows XP Home
- 30GB HDD, 768MB DDR2 RAM
- Web-cam, Wireless 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth (TM),
Mini touch pad, Qwerty keyboard, Mouse button
- DC-In, Stereo headphone, MIC jack, Audio In/Out,
2xUSB 2.0, DB-15 VGA Out
- Card reader: SD/MC/MMC
- Resolution select, Volume Up/Down
- Touch screen with stylus pen
- Battery 2300 mAh
- Key lock hold
- Weight : 700g
- Dimension 226.5 x 146.4 x 26.5mm

And after using it, I found that it has a good performance. Wireless connection is fast. It is very light. It also comes with 3 years warranty (1st year - full warranty; while 2nd and 3rd years - free labour).

I would recommend it to other uses who want small notebooks that are easy to be carried. No more shoulder-ache!!! ;) :)
