Apparently I missed this news from Sunday that Dynamism is now selling a "justin.tv kit" and no I'm not making this up. Ever since he got secured funding and opened his publishing doors to the public, he's been a hot commodity. But check out that pricetag: $2499.00, ouch! I bet UMPCs could bring that price down considerably, and lighten the load while we're at it.
Don't know what justin.tv is? Check out this LA Times article.
Grab a Samsung Q1B (if you're in Europe you can get the HSDPA version) with the extended battery and we can push 5 hours on one charge at about half the weight of the VAIO sub-notebook. Grab a battery bank to bolster that up to 8 hours and you'll still be under the size and weight of the VAIO. Maybe someone who knows more about battery banks can recommend one for this setup.
Use the same camera as Justin, but you can get a smaller bag if you like. A few others have talked about this at length. Chippy tried it out a few months ago, and got about 3 hours of usage out of his Everun setup (although he wasn't clear what he used for an internet connection).
I've ordered an HSDPA modem so I'm going to go ahead and order a camera as well and give this setup a try with my OQO model 02. It sounds fun! Who knows, someday soon you'll be able to catch me working on my blog or out at the clubs in Taipei.
Hat tip to Rodfather for the news.

I did the final test with HSDPA. 6 hours is possible on extended battery with Everun. Have updated my article.

Might test it with Q1b but that's a large device relative to the Everun.
