UMPCs are a worldwide phenomenon, not like ultra portable notebooks of yesteryear that were only available in Japan. On Monday, we saw a video from Korea. Today, we've got a news segment on UMPCs from Hong Kong. Their focus in the segment is on an AMtek T770 that has been set up for home automation. UMPCs are a great resource for home automation because of their small size and ease of development, since they're based on x86 processors they don't need special development kits to write software for them.
