VIDEO - Pro photographers using OQO

I was just reading this article about the wireless coverage planned for the stadium hosting Super Bowl XLII and I noticed that Reuters photographers have been hooked up with OQO model 02s to capture their footage live. Digging a bit deeper I ran into this interesting footage from CES of a European Press Photo Agency photographer editing his photos live on an OQO. It sounds like the editors can login to the photographers' UMPCs and download photos live. No more waiting for the event to finish for news agencies to get high quality photos. This is a real game changer for serious news-gathering organizations. Equipping your photographers with WWAN enabled UMPCs is really going to help you get the scoop on your competitors.

UMPCs for photographers

Photographers use many different kinds of mobile computer accessories to use with their UMPCs. Some software can be paired with barcode scanners to scan images, and other software can be used with SATO printers to help photographers print their photos.

You ought to see what it does when coupled with KTvid. It makes those OQOs mobile vieoconferncing suites over cellular. It also would allow a live feed from a event direct to a studio. OBTW, live becomes less than 1 sec of delay, and its awesme for providing DTV/IPTV as well.
