VIDEO - Glenn Henry talks about Isaiah

This is really exciting news about VIA's new processor architecture, code-named Isaiah. In this interview with lead CPU designer from Centaur (VIA's CPU Design Company), Glenn Henry talks about the incredible engineering feat that they have accomplished with their 40-man engineering design team in Austin, TX. Here Glenn lays out how they have analyzed the C7 CPU found in lots of popular UMPCs today, like the OQO model 02, the Everex CloudBook, and the Samsung Q1B, and they've created a brand new CPU that is drop in compatible, uses the same amount of power, and gets between two and four the performance. Have a look at the interview, I think Glenn explains this very well.

Oh yeah, and make sure to check out the VIA Isaiah Architecture gallery for some photos from the interview.

Stop putting up with outdated hardware

The CPU of your laptop may not have the power of VIA's new processor, but luckily with laptop repairs you can get your computer back at the top of its game. Maybe your laptop processor is running overtime and in turn is causing your laptop fan to spin nonstop. You don't have to put up with outdated hardware anymore!

Ok slightly different topic, but what directly came in to my mind was: good performence, very low power consumption, no fan needed.--> Isn´t this the ideal processor to build a supercomputer?
