We've already shown a video of how to connect a bluetooth keyboard to your ultra mobile device so you can type up some documents or perhaps send some instant messages to your friends. Now we will show you how to connect a bluetooth headset to your ultra mobile device so that you can make VOIP calls to your colleagues, friends, or family.

In this video, Eliane connects her Southwing bluetooth headset to her Samsung Q1b. We hope you find these video clips helpful in showing the many things you can do with your ultra mobile device.

What's in Hugo's Gadget Bag?
Written by Bjorn Stromberg

Hugo Ortega recently took a trip to China to attend a Microsoft Bloggers conference. He shot a video of packing all his gear into his gadget bag and shared the reasons why he selected the equipment that he did.

I have lots of choices in devices, but apart from the Acer as my preferred machine, I'm taking the Samsung Q1b (B for Bob). And the reason I'm taking the Q1b is battery life. There's a book I'm writing at the moment so I'll be doing that on this piece of kit in the airplane, using the 6-cell, using the backlit LED display as my brightest screen option and reduced battery life option, using the keyboard that's attached to the organizer pack, so for me that's a big plus having that all in one.

Check out the entire Hugo's Gadget Bag video on the UberTablet Blog. He's got a ton of great information on there and his videos are always a treat.

New 8.5" UMPC with Matte Finish
Written by Bjorn Stromberg

Today I got my hands on a brand new ultra mobile device and I've got to say, the PaceBlade EasyBook P8N felt good in my hands. The coolest part about this new UMPC is that it's got a matte black finish that feels a little bit rubbery and best of all, doesn't show any fingerprints. This VIA C7-M based device has a very solid feel to it, a big bright screen and some really nice accouterments. One much clamored for feature is an IR port which will let your UMPC act as a remote control to interact with your TV, stereo, or other remote-controlled devices.

Virgin Air is showing off their new Airbus A320 where every single seat in the plane is equipped with a 9" UMPC set up to handle all of your needs for the entire flight. They've got onboard video entertainment as well as satellite video. Also available are 3,000 music tracks as well as games. Not only can you chat and play games with other passengers, but you can also order food. It really sounds like a dream come true.

The video really shows off what an ultra mobile device can do:

Check out some photos after the jump.

Ultra Mobile Usage Tips - Part 1: Bluetooth Keyboard
Written by Bjorn Stromberg
Thursday, 08 February 2007

Over here at ultramobilelife.com we play with ultra mobile devices all day. Between our Samsung Q1b's and our TabletKiosk eo UMPC v7110's we log a lot of hours on here and we've come to realize that there's a bit of a learning curve to these things. We've decided to put together little video segments to introduce some of the things you can do with an ultra mobile device.

This first video is my colleague, Eliane Hofmann, showing us how to connect a bluetooth keyboard (this one from ThinkOutside) to a Samsung Q1b. It's a pretty simple process and it's really a unique feeling having two wireless devices working together.

Oh yeah, if there's any topics you want us to cover feel free to put in a request ( \n This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it "> This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it ) and we'll do our best to shoot a video of it. Coming up next week, we connect a bluetooth headset to our Q1b.
