I've just received a big batch of photos from Sascha over at EPIA Center of the E-Lead Noahpad. This is one nice looking device, it comes in white, black and an eye-pleasing blue. I just got done watching another video of this UMPC and am really intrigued by the design, not only that, but this comes with Ubuntu installed which makes it even more interesting in my book. I heard from Sascha that he'll have a video of it soon and I'll get that posted as soon as I find it. | | Click to Comment | Comments [ 0 ] |

The NoahPad from E-Lead is getting a lot of attention at CES this year. It's got a very innovative keyboard, that can be used as a thumboard, standard touch-typing keyboard, and a new behind the screen keyboard. The trick is that the screen folds over and the keys are transparently overlayed over your screen, not only that, but the interface allows you to see where you are typing to help you learn to use the input system better. It's hard to explain and even harder to visualize so we've got a video up for you to take a look at. I'll post up some images in a little bit over on VIA Gallery so you can get a better look at the device. | | Click to Comment | Comments [ 0 ] |

Ewdi from Slashgear shot this quick video of the Wibrain B1 at VIA's annual Lunch @ Piero's event that takes place every year across the street from the main CES convention hall. Last year I helped to organize it with my coworker Eliane, but this year I've been busy working with websites (like VIA Gallery) and wasn't able to make it out to Vegas. Since I can't be there I'll just keep on posting pics and videos that I find of VIA-based UMPCs, there's a bunch of great ones on display over there, let's see who gets their coverage up first. | | Click to Comment | Comments [ 0 ] |

My colleague, Tim Brown, caught Lisa Park from Wibrain on video and got to ask her a few questions about the WiBrain B1 UMPC that they're showing at CES. The most exciting bit of information in this video is the part where we hear that it's available this month on dynamism.com for only $699. That's a lot of bang for your buck! | | Click to Comment | Comments [ 1 ] |

Warner and Rob have just put together this awesome video of their mobile vlogging kit. They've got a OQO model 02 with Sprint EV-DO for editing and uploading their videos. For video, they use a Flip Video recorder that's got a USB attachment so they can just plug it directly into their OQO. And for still photos and backup video recording they've got a digital camera. All of this fits into a little pack to give them serious freedom in their reporting activities. Unfortunately, Warner can't quite embrace all this freedom and live life on the edge so he brings along a big backpack all kinds of extra supplies just in case. Take a look at the video and see if you think you could get by with their mobile vlogging kit. | | Click to Comment | Comments [ 3 ] |
