We all know the saying 'diamonds are a girl's best friend'. Well, this could soon be a thing of the past with diamonds being replaced by all things gadgety. According to a recent survey, every three out of four women will choose a pricy and glitzy TV over a diamond solitaire necklace, a high-end mobile phone over designer shoes and the very much loved little black dress will take a backseat for the iPod.

This seems like a very good idea indeed. Having spent a lot of time in hotel rooms listening to music through my tinny laptop speakers, the idea of having something small you can bung into the USB port makes sense. Girls Aloud just isn't the same unless you can hear the full nuances of their lyrics.

PC power: Computers are going to get very exciting over the next 25 years...apparently
By 2033, PCs will have taken on "many different shapes and sizes", and the PC of this era will be a million times more powerful than today's PC systems. How unbelievably amazing would it be to control your computer by just thinking the commands? I know I've thought about controlling my computer with my mind many a time and so wish it was a reality.
