Chippy has put together this great video covering the Wibrain B1 UMPC's very nice keyboard. The magical thing about the Wibrain is that it's really been thoughtfully designed to be very functional. The thumboard has nice rubberized keys with good travel and a satisfying click. Take a look at the video for a hands-on look at the Wibrain B1.

It looks like a lot of people are excited about the gOS that runs on the CloudBook from Everex, because there's quite a few videos showing up on YouTube demonstrating gOS running on the eeePC. There's even a 10 step guide to installing gOS on the eee PC, but it does require an external CD drive. You'll also have to download some separate drivers for the WiFi as it's not included with the default install of gOS.

I think it's incredible the amount of enthusiasm being shown for UMPCs and linux. It has taken a bit of time to get things right, but now that the manufacturers have tweaked things and made a lot of adjustments the excitement is really beginning to take off. It's safe to say we've only just begun to see the incredible possibilities for >$500 ultra mobile PCs.

For some reason I suspect this was shot around the release of Vista, but I'm not entirely certain when it was shot. The important part is that they include a UMPC in the advertisement. Apparently, this series of commercials follows Korean actor, Ji Hyun Woo (지현우), through his day as he uses Vista on a lot of different PCs including a Samsung Q1 UMPC, a Windows Media Center PC, and a notebook from LG. I'll have to ask my friends in Korea if they've seen these advertisements on TV. It like they are more geared towards tradeshows.

Rodfather invites us to have a look inside his gadget bag. These gadget bag videos are always incredibly helpful because they reveal the creative ways that people have solved their mobility problems. For instance, Rodfather has a USB EVDO modem that he uses for 3G wireless connectivity, but he takes it one step further and plugs it into his Cradlepoint router instead of his UMPC to provide wireless networking to the people around him. Have a look and see what other cool things Rodfather puts in his bag.

I really like the introduction done by E-Lead's CEO, you can tell he has a real passion for industrial design and that he is trying hard to solve the problems inherent in small form-factor devices. After his short intro they get into the heart of their virtual display and why this funky little device is going to be much more usable than any regular 7" notebook. A lot of effort has been put into making the Noahpad experience very usable while maintaining such a small design. Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on this UMPC and shoot some video for you guys. If you have any questions about this device, please let me know so I can get some answers for you.
