VIDEO - MTube promotional video

I don't know how I missed this video, but it's nice to check out how the MTube designers are envisioning the MTube being used. It's incredible to think about how this little PC is going to change the way we think about handheld devices. Sure you've got the iPhone that's really shaken up the phone world, but this one is going to take it a step further. A real x86 processor, a tiny handheld form factor, and wireless connectivity.

Think about it, develop your apps directly on the platform their designed to run on. Right now my imagination is running wild thinking about all the cool things I can do with a computer that fits in my hand. At first I was thinking "MTube Beowulf cluster" but the practical nerd inside of me says location-based webserver. Hang one of these up in your store and you've got a security camera, doubling as a way for customers to see what's going on in your store. Hang one in your nursery and check on your baby from your MTube while you're at the store. If the Wimax infrastructure really takes off we're going to start to see these devices everywhere wireless broadcasting live video feeds from every corner of the globe.

We're looking at a massive proliferation of live video feeds since we've basically solved the problem of packaging all the necessary functionality into one tiny, low power, and consumer friendly package. I can't wait for production to start on these, I'm going to get 10 of them and put them all over the place: one at home so I can check on my cat, one at the office so I know who's there, one at the front door of my office building so I can see the weather and the traffic right outside, and one with me so I can take a look at all of these feeds.

What if I gave you 10 MTubes to use as you please, how would you use your MTubes?

Cheap ink for your UMPC

Buying a mobile PC will probably put you out of some cash, but you can find cheap HP toner cartridges to save money. Whether you need to find Oki toner cartridge for your office or want to buy Xerox Phaser ink for your home printer, look online to save money.

You can try http://www.bywifi.com . It is a good web service for mobile devices. It transcodes 3gp videos from youtube.com and optimize web pages. I always download youtube movies and read web pages with it.

Hey thanks, that's very useful. Hopefully in the future we won't need to transcode for mobile phones, we can just watch videos on our MTubes.
