This video of the Samsung SPH-P9200 (AKA the butterfly UMPC) was taken at GITEX 2007, a massive electronics tradeshow in Dubai. I haven't been to that convention yet, but hopefully I can make it next year. It seems like a really hot spot for UMPCs. Take a look at this UMPC website from Dubai to see what I mean. They've following UMPCs as close as anyone else.

Original video from: Khurram Farooq.

After the jump, and older video of the same UMPC, you can watch it booting up Windows XP. The cool thing about this UMPC is that it comes with a bluetooth handset and 3G wireless. I hope it will get released soon.

I've been following UMPC's since their inception because I want a pocket size notebook type device. I have been hoping for someone to create something that had the ease of input like the handhelds in the 90's. This Samsung is amazing, it takes the function of a handheld and turns it inside out! This is so cool as I want it to be pocket size and have a touch type keyboard so I thought retro handheld but would never have guessed that is was possible to create a trifold.

All the UMPC's are too large, too underpowered and lack a touch type keyboard. This is a fabulous design! I hope ultramobilelife puts the word out that many of us want to buy one and posts links for us to purchase one! :)
