I got a surprise in the mail this week, a UREN V1 imported from Korea. It looks like the perfect companion for your car. It's got GPS with Microsoft Streets and Trips to help navigate around the country and it's got an FM Transmitter that will let you use your car stereo for the audio. That means you can watch your XVID encoded movies and TV Shows on it's big 7" screen with the great sound system you've put in your car. Or you can listen to your huge collection of MP3s stored on it's 30GB hard drive.
To share in my excitement, I recorded the unboxing ceremony and my initial reactions to this sweet looking little device.
Read on for pictures!

They put an english version of Windows XP on it for me and replaced the korean GPS navigator with Microsoft Streets and Trips. Unfortunately, they don't have an english manual available yet.
The retail price for this is about 1000 USD.

Bjorn,
I'm diJenerate on handtops.com, please log-in there and PM me.
I have been trying for about 3 months to get one of these units for review. Additionally, an importer in the US that I am affiliated with has been trying (just as unsuccessfully) to contact someone at UREN for the same 3 months or more.
You are the first person outside of Korea I have seen to have one of these units so If you don't mind contacting me on Handtops, I'd like to know who you talked to over there that actually can keep promises
Great job on the unboxing vid
diJenerate
PS: This was accidentally posted under the previous news article's comments... Proof that you shouldn't post while half asleep. If someone could delete that one it would be appreciated.
Cheers.

that thing you are going to mount to you desk goes on the back, and the end that attaches to some place on the car attaches to it and the suction end goes to the window but I'm guessing you figured that out already. It sure is fun to make fun of people, so I had to comment... thanks, and cool toy :?
